Draupnir has designed its own correction system in collaboration with Mattes. This system has no Velcro and allows easy placement of inserts. The system ensures that there is no pressure on the horse’s spine.

• The inserts are 0.5 cm thick and can be trimmed for a perfect fit.
• The correction system consists of three pockets—front, middle, and rear—on both sides.
• Additionally, half pockets allow for easy placement of inserts in sections like the front/middle.

These saddle pads are specially designed to fit our saddles. Mattes is known for their superior quality, and these pads are durable and can be washed at 30°C. 

The side facing the horse is made from moisture-absorbing quilted cotton, with genuine sheepskin that allows airflow and provides shock absorption. To maintain these properties, the pads should be washed regularly, and the sheepskin should be brushed to restore its airiness. Special wool detergent is included with the pad, and additional detergent can be purchased from us.

Draupnir has chosen to include a leather edge against the withers to provide maximum protection. All our saddle pads feature the EWWA shape, which provides a good fit for the withers and the spine channel.
