Our sponsored riders work professionally with horses, and we are very grateful that they choose to collaborate with Draupnir. They are important supporters in the development of our equipment.
Professional rider and owner of our farm, Englastadir, with about 20 Icelandic horses in the Netherlands.
I grew up on an Icelandic horse farm in Norway and have been riding Icelandic horses for as long as I can remember. In 2012, I moved to Germany, where I spent a few years at Kronshof before moving to the Netherlands in 2017. Since then, I have been running our farm, dealing with everything from breeding to sales, teaching, and training horses.
Multiple-time Norwegian Champion and Dutch Champion in various disciplines, bronze medal in five-gait combination, and A-finalist in five-gait at the Nordic Championship in 2012. Represented the Netherlands at the last two World Championships, finishing 5th in Tölt at the 2019 World Championship in Berlin.
I ride with the Ask saddle because it gives me the perfect combination of support and freedom to ride in the five-gait and pace disciplines. The flexible saddle tree gives me good contact while allowing the horses excellent freedom of movement. The saddle stays stable and distributes pressure evenly across the horse’s back. For me, Draupnir stands for quality, and I am proud to represent a Norwegian quality brand here in the Netherlands.

Part-time employee at Icelandair, horse trainer, riding instructor, and breeder.
I have been riding since I was a child and began working professionally with horses in 2011, after showcasing the highest-judged 6-year-old mare at Landsmót that year. I have worked with some of Iceland’s best riders to gain experience since I was young.
Since 2011, I have showcased breeding horses and competed with good results. In 2015, I was nominated as “Gæðinga Rider of the Year” by the Icelandic Horse Association. In 2018, I started working for Icelandair, but today I mainly train horses from the family’s breeding and give riding lessons.
I first tried Draupnir saddles in 2012 when I was working in Norway and was immediately impressed. Since then, I’ve tried nearly everything on the market, but during the 2023 World Championship, I met Team Draupnir. When I sat in a Draupnir saddle again after some time, I felt the same sensation, and we made an agreement. I couldn’t be more pleased with our collaboration.
I ride both in the Fenrir and Fimur saddles and love both equally. They provide the support I need without feeling restrictive, and they fit the horses perfectly. What I appreciate most about Draupnir products is that you can really feel the quality of the leather and design.
