Draupnir has chosen to offer excellent deals on equipment to young riders who are dedicated to the sport. These riders are seen as future stars of the Icelandic horse community.
I am 17 years old and have been riding Icelandic horses since 2021. Before that, I rode many other types of horses. I got my first Icelandic horse at the start of 2021, and together we competed in shows and the Norwegian Championships that year. That was also when I was fortunate enough to get sponsored by Draupnir Equestrian Equipment.
For me, Draupnir equipment works best for my horses. The quality is top-notch, and it supports both the horse and rider well.
I have been riding horses for most of my life, as we have always had horses in the family, so it was natural for me to start riding too.
In 2024, I focused on my horse Smári from Steinnesi, and together we became Norwegian Champions in T1j and earned a solid 3rd place in V1j. We were also selected to represent Norway at the Nordic Championships, where we placed 4th in T1j. Next year, I will continue competing with Smári from Steinnesi in V1 and T1, and with Nói from Jakobsgården in F1 and T2, a horse we recently bought in September.
My goals are to keep my horses healthy and free from injuries throughout the season while developing a positive and effective partnership with them.
I choose Draupnir equipment because of the excellent quality and beautiful design.
